Updated: Feb 10, 2022

Baguio City, Philippines – The family of a Korean student studying in this city, is getting more worried after said student has gone missing for two months now.

Jinhun Kim, 20, resident of Badihoy St., Barangay Guisad Surong, Baguio City, was reported missing by her mother at Camdas Police Station on January 12, 2022.

According to his mother, Jinhun, who was enrolled at the University of Baguio, asked permission from her on December 7, 2021, to go out and buy Ramen.

“…kaya nga itong mother niya binigyan niya ng P1,000 para siya na mismo ang bumili. Kaya lang iyong mother niya nagtataka nung bibili siya ng ramen sa labas may dalang bag,” Police Major Darwin Zafra said through Regional News Group-RNG Luzon.

Meanwhile, Jinyu Kim, the brother of Jinhun, recalled that this is already the third time that Jinhun did not come home. He said there were instances when Jinhun only return home after nine days, so they waited for days before reporting the incident to the police.

The police see a possibility that Jinhun might be in danger or hurt, that they have intensified the search for him.

Further, the family will expand their search outside the city.

Jinhun’s family appealed for those who might have seen him to notify them through 09776013912 or 09475945448 or Camdas Police Station through 661-1255/09985987743/09985947742.

The 20-year-old student was last seen wearing a brown hoodie, black rubber sandals (Crocs) and a black bag usually used for hiking.
