Santa Marcela, Apayao - A health volunteer from the province of Apayao ranked third in the recently-concluded Search for Regional Outstanding Barangay Health Worker 2023.

The search aimed to recognize the invaluable services of Barangay Health Workers in their respective communities.

Beatriz Tagaca, from the municipality of Santa Marcela, Apayao won third place in the individual category.

Coming out on top were Marites Taguibos from Benguet and Gemily G. Dakiwag from Kalinga who won first and second respectively.

“Sumali po ako sa individual category bilang representative ng Apayao para maging boses ng mga Barangay Health Workers at makita ng karamihan ang aming mga trabaho at sakripisyo para sa aming mga komunidad." she said.

A certificate of recognition was given to her during the event, which was held last Wednesday, November 15 at the Orchard Hotel in Baguio City.

Apart from the certificate, Tagaca also received a P15,000 cash prize, a laptop, a trophy, and a bag.
