‘I support good plans; I question the bad ones’ – VM Dao-as

Tabuk City, Kalinga — Vice Mayor Bernard Glenn Dao-as, in a message during the City Hall Christmas Lighting, said that despite differences with the executive, he is supportive in terms of initiatives for the development and in protecting the people of Tabuk.

The Vice Mayor’s message, as read by his representative Executive Assistant Teddy Gullay during the event at the Tabuk City Hall on December 1, underscored his support for development initiatives.

“At the onset, many people think that I am not supporting the initiative of the administration because of some differences. On the contrary, I am with them in trying to make developments and protect the people of Tabuk,” Dao-as stated.

Dao-as further expressed appreciation for the conduct of a lighting ceremony saying, “I personally appreciate this kind of initiative from the executive department for us to be reminded that it is already Christmas, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The vice mayor, on behalf of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Office, wishes everyone a happy and prosperous Christmas. He also encourages the public to remain vigilant in the continuous fight against Covid-19 as they celebrate the Holidays.

“Amidst the pandemic that we experience, I am sure that there are many good things happened to us in our respective families. May we continue to be vigilant in our fight against this pandemic and enjoy the spirit of Christmas that Christ has instilled with us,” he expressed.

In an interview with the Vice-Mayor, he said he wasn't able to deliver his message for an important occasion where his bodily message was needed.

He emphasized that he supports whatever good plans the administration has for the people but will question the bad ones because it is his job as a check and balance officer.

"Nu adda mayat nga plano dapat suportaran tayo, ngem saan nga mabalin nga agtungtung-ed tayo lattan aglalo nu makita tayo nga questionable ken adda ti ebidensiya ti corruption ta datayo met lang pabasulen ti tattao,! said VM Dao-as.
