Igorota beauty queen to represent PH in Miss Culture International

Benguet, Philippines – After successfully winning a title in the national pageant, a proud Igorota beauty queen is set to conquer the international stage next year.

Cleciaflor Balabag now carries the Miss Homeland Philippines - Culture International crown following her victory during the coronation day held at Porta Vaga, Baguio City on July 9, 2023.

Other than the title, she bagged Miss David's Salons Ambassador, Miss Don Henrico's Ambassador, Darling of the Press, and Best in Preliminary Interview in the advocacy pageantry which promotes diversity, breaking stereotypes, and inclusivity.

In June this same year, Cleciaflor was awarded the Best in National Costume in Miss Aura Philippines 2023 in Quezon City.

The queen hails from La Trinidad, Benguet where she was named Miss La Trinidad 2022 and Miss Benguet 2022.

She has been known as a firm advocate for mental health awareness and violence against women and children movement and has been striving to break stereotypes about the misconceptions of Igorots.

“I am also maximizing pageant platforms by using my skills in acting to open the minds and hearts of people in the reality of victims who were sexually abused, making a stand that it is already time to change our mindset. Instead of blaming the victims, we should be the one helping them,” she earlier stated.

Her exposure will be of great help as she carries the country’s banner in Miss Culture International aimed at boosting culture and tourism, next year. Specific details of the event are yet to be released by the management.
