IMPAKABSAT Cordillera trade fair to open on Nov. 18 in Muntinlupa City


Tabuk City, Kalinga – To help regional entrepreneurs boost their income, local products will be showcased in the larger market through the IMPAKABSAT: Only the best from the Cordilleras regional trade fair at the Upper Ground Floor, Carousel Court and Expansion Hall of Festival Mall in Muntinlupa City.


The event shall be done from November 18 and will end on November 27.


Locally made products will be displayed such as furniture and fixtures, woodcraft, bamboo craft, loom woven products, fresh and processed foods, gifts, housewares and decors, organic and natural products, and fashion accessories and others.

Other activities at the event include the on-site sketching and graphics illustration on November 19, Abrenian and Benguet weaving demonstration on November 20, Bamboo and Basket weaving on November 21.


Further, Ifugao and Kalinga weaving demonstration and market matching will be held on November 22, yarn craft or crochet demonstration on November 23, Mountain Province weaving demonstration on November 24, wood carving skills demonstration on November 25, and pottery skills demonstration on November 26.


Meantime, the DTI-CAR encouraged the public to continue their support of the local MSMEs by buying their products.

What is IMPAKABSAT Trade Fair?


IMPAKABSAT stands for the six provinces in the region- Ifugao, Mountain Province, Abra, Kalinga, Apayao, Benguet, and the city of Baguio and Tabuk. It is completed with the ‘kabsat’ an Ilocano term that means brother or sister, describing the whole of the Cordilleras.


IMPAKABSAT through the Department of Trade and Industry-Cordillera Administrative Region (DTI-CAR) program aims to help and strengthen small and medium enterprises from the region by showcasing its indigenous crafts, skills, resources, and investment potential.
