Kalinga bets ink peace covenant for safe May polls

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Political candidates of Kalinga vowed to uphold Safe, Accurate, and Free Elections (SAFE) this April 07, 2022.


Led by the Commission on Elections – Kalinga along with the Kalinga Police Provincial Office and the Department of Interior and Local Government, the candidates held a unity walk from St. William’s Cathedral to the Kalinga Astrodome, as a show of support for the advocacy.

Once settled, Atty. Elenita Julia A. Tabangin-Capuyan, Provincial Elections Supervisor III, briefed and reminded the candidates to uphold peace this coming election.


The provincial aspirants then affirmed their Pledge of Integrity and signed the Peace Covenant.

A prayer for a safe and fair elections was officiated by Fr. George Manisen.

Among the candidates who attended the event were Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, Roy Dickpus, Governor Ferdinand B. Tubban, representatives of Conrado Dieza, Jocel C. Baac, Vice-Governor Dave Odiem, Raul Poblete, Board Member Harley Jay Duguiang, Board Member Frederick Pangsiw, Board Member Lester Lee Tarnate, and Board Member Roger Saga-oc.

On his official page, incumbent Congressman Mangaoang asked for a peaceful election, stating “Let peace reign among us during this election.”. The solon is seeking reelection for his third term in office.
