Kalinga close to achieving 70% COVID-19 vaccination target

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Kalinga is only 1.4 percent short of achieving its goal of fully vaccinating 70% of its target population.


In a report shared by Provincial Health Office led by Dr. Edward Tandingan, the province has already fully inoculated 68.6 percent or 106,428 out of its 155,095-target population as of January 02, 2022.


A total of 120,151 individuals, or 77.5 percent of the target already received their first dose.

Rizal is the only municipality that exceeded the target. It has so far fully vaccinated 115.5 percent or 14,355 of its 12,425-target population.


Meanwhile, the municipality of Balbalan attained 82.7%, Pinukpuk with 74.5%, Tabuk City with 64.9%, Pasil with 61.5%, Lubuagan with 49.9%, Tanudan with 46.2%, and Tinglayan with 45.1%.


To further intensify its vaccination campaign, the province, under the leadership of Governor Ferdinand Tubban through its Provincial Vaccination Outreach Team (PVOT), scheduled the distribution of vaccines this January 7, 2022, at the Capitol Park in front of the Capitol building, Bulanao, Tabuk City.

The vaccination drive will be for minors and adults from 12 years old and above. Second doses of all brands will also be catered along with booster doses for those who received their second dose 6 months from now and three months for those vaccinated with Janssen.


Interested individuals will only need to bring with them valid IDs for those who will avail for the first dose and a vaccination card for those who will get their second dose and booster dose.
