Kalinga LGU awards P130,000 cash incentives to Best Employee and Achievers



Tabuk City, Kalinga – To recognize and reward the accomplishments of its employees, the Local Government Unit of Kalinga through its Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO) awarded Plaques of Recognition and cash incentives amounting to P130,000 to deserving government service providers.


The recognition was made possible through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) of PHRMO, with the funding approved by the governor.


Among those recognized and were given P5,000 each are 17 employees who, despite the pandemic, strived to graduate from their Master’s Degree, three from bachelor’s degree.

Those who graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration are Sanchez Manganip of Provincial Budget Office, Loreta Abay of PHRMO, and Juliet Bartolome of Juan M. Duyan Memorial District Hospital.


The graduates with their Master’s Degree, on the other hand, are Portia Mae Alcanzarin, Darwin Gunday, Marlyn Lapada, Heraldo Caddumlay, Roselda Dumayag, Eusebio Manadao, Luzviminda Pumos-an, Catherine Gumanao, Racquel Pangkew, Tsidkenu Maloc, Shalimer Keythe Mandiging, Roel Lingbawan, Irish Matalang, Veronica Bulwayan, Wendeline Masa-ao, Zandra Lyn Dupali, and Fannie May Malaga.

The awarding conducted alongside the flag ceremony this October 6, 2021, at Kalinga Astrodome was led by Governor Ferdinand Tubban, Provincial Director of DILG-Kalinga, Max Mayer Adong, PHRM Officer Grace Kidang Flores, and Provincial Assessor, Engr. Jeffrey Uyam


Meanwhile, Richard Lumines of the Provincial Assessors Office, who was proclaimed as the Best Employee, was given special recognition and a P10,000 cash incentive for his exceptional service, diligence, and dedication towards work.


The same amount were given to Provincial Agriculturist Engr. Domingo Bakilan for winning the 2021 Regional Search for Outstanding Government Workers (CSC Pagasa Award Individual Category) and Juan M. Duyan Memorial District Hospital for its meritorious performance, outstanding efforts, and punctual compliance to requisites.

Governor Tubban and DILG-Kalinga PD congratulated the awardees and thanked them for exerting effort to continue learning amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.


According to PHRM Officer Flores, the recognition likewise aims to inspire other employees not to let the current challenges stop them from learning and serving.
