Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Provincial Government of Kalinga honored 57 iKalingas who successfully completed military training under the Philippine Army and the Philippine Navy during its flag-raising ceremony on July 13, recognizing their dedication to public service and the honor they brought to the province, with several of them graduating at the top of their respective classes.
The recognition ceremony, held at the Kalinga Sports Center, celebrated the achievements of 14 newly commissioned Philippine Army officers and 43 newly trained Philippine Navy sailors, whose accomplishments further strengthened Kalinga's reputation for producing disciplined and competent uniformed personnel.
The 14 new Army officers and top graduates
Leading the Army graduates were 2LT Jones A. Lumingis of Pantikian, Balbalan, who ranked among the Top 7 of OCC "Gundaway" Class 64-2026, and 2LT Edjeff A. Banggalao of Bantay, Tabuk City, who also finished among the Top 7 of OCC ROTC "Talagilab" Class 03-2026.
Other graduates from the "Gundaway" Class are 2LT Keith Jay G. Olao – Tulgao West, Tinglayan; 2LT Cyrix Clevar B. Bassi – Nambaran, Tabuk City; 2LT Jessie Crystel A. Tanongon – Poblacion, Tinglayan; 2LT Aaron Dave Salabao – Nambaran, Tabuk City; 2LT Jarry C. Bajo – Junction, Pinukpuk; 2LT Haromi Wendy Gayyaman – Bangad, Tinglayan; 2LT Joshua A. Suyam – Malin-awa, Tabuk City; 2LT John Israel G. Alunday – Purok 6, Hilltop, Tabuk City; 2LT Gether Ven B. Damiyay – Mabini St., Dagupan Weste, Tabuk City; and 2LT Zaldy Val G. Anga-angan – Purok 3, Cabaritan, Tabuk City.
Meanwhile, the other members of the "Talagilab" Class from Kalinga are 2LT Jonquel D. Manadao of Bado Dangwa, Tabuk City, and 2LT Jonel L. Cardenas of Suyang, Tabuk City.
The 43 Navy graduates and the Top 1 sailor from Tanudan
Leading the Navy graduates was ASN Alvin Web A. Alinao PN of Gaang, Tanudan, who emerged as Top 1 among the 468 graduates of the Philippine Navy's Sailor Basic Course (SBC) "Masindapang" Class 76-2026.
Three other iKalingas also ranked among the class's top performers. ASN Jane O. Angngad PN of Turod, Bulo, Tabuk City, placed Top 5, while ASN Nathalia L. Aya-os PN, also from Turod, Bulo, Tabuk City, ranked Top 7. Meanwhile, ASN Judy Faith A. Tillao PN of San Pablo, Lacnog West, Tabuk City, finished Top 61.

Gov. Edduba urges graduates to protect Kalinga's reputation
In his message, Governor James S. Edduba urged the graduates to preserve and further strengthen the good reputation that generations of iKalinga uniformed personnel have built through years of honorable service.
"Kayat ko met nga inconfirm kanyayo wenno kayat ko ipakaamo kanyayo yo nga kanyak nga nagapo iti makipolpolapol ti national offices, ket always ngay nga dakkel ti respeto da kadagiti uniformed personnel nga agapo iti Cordillera, especially ti probinsya ti Kalinga, and I'm very proud nga kasjay iti panakaaamo da iti amin nga uniformed personnel nga agapo ti Kalinga. So imintinar yo garud dayta,” Edduba told the graduates.
