Tabuk City, Kalinga―Cordillera Youth Brigade (CYB) together with the 503rd Infantry (Peace & Justice) Brigade sends relief goods which were generated from the different stakeholders/volunteers in Kalinga to the victims of Typhoon ‘Rolly’ in Region V.

BGEN Henry Doyaoen PA, Brigade Commander, 503rd Infantry (Peace & Justice) Brigade together with the CYB handed-over the relief goods to COL Remigio Dulatre GSC (INF) PA, G7, 5ID, PA, CMFDC, Gamu, Isabela for consolidation prior to transport to Region V this November 09.

In an interview with the Youth President Clark Gallema, he said the initiative was done to support other people especially in this time of crisis, particularly in the municipalities of Bohol and Albay which were badly hit by the typhoon leaving thousands of victims.

“Those victims of the typhoon who are badly in need of daily used clothes who surely lost from the strike of typhoon, we would like to say that even though we are miles away we are still here to help you,” he uttered.

Said goods given were bed sheets, maternity dresses, kids wear, jackets, shirts for girls and boys, shoes, sandals, etc.

Gallema then encouraged the youth to consider the need of being responsible and of having a ready mind to act as everyone may contribute to be part of the solution. He also called on all the young people out there to unite as one, “Maghawak kamay at magtulungan para sa ika- uunlad ng bayan.”
