Laborer from Baguio City wins national dart competition

Baguio City, Benguet – A skilled worker from Baguio City was named the champion during the ‘Darterong Pinoy’ dart Competition held in Tagaytay from November 25-27, 2022.


Jason Langcao was proclaimed the winner after beating over 60 darters who came from different provinces in the country, partaking in said national event.


Langcao even won in his match with those considered as “top-ranked dart players” in the country, which includes James Chan, Paolo Nebrida and Paul Almazan.

With him winning over James Chan with a score of 4-2, he only needs to win another national championship match to be considered as one of the “National Grand Masters”.


Langcao was also the champion in the national darts tournament held in Benguet last November 18-20, 2022.

To be considered as a national grand master, a darter needs to top 3 national dart competitions.


In his interview with Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation, he said his goal is to attain the title as ‘National Grand Master’.

He likewise shared that he also dreams of competing in bigger dart competitions in the country and outside the country, including Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) World Darts Championship where he participated before.


When asked about his inspiration for playing darts, Langcao said his teammates and his sponsors, since they are the ones motivating him to strive harder in playing darts.


“Ti inspirasyon ko adu met, dagiti teammate ko ken sponsor ko ta isuda ti mangmangted iti kasapulak ken diay amin nga mangmot-motivate kanyak,” Langcao stated.
