Lubuagan, Kalinga new set of leaders take oath



Lubuagan, Kalinga - The Municipality of Lubuagan conducted its oath taking and turnover ceremony for its newly and re-elected officials today, June 28, 2022 at the People’s Building, Capitol Hills, Barangay Poblacion.


The ceremony began with a community Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Fr. Fray Loi Roselada Espinola and witnessed by the Local Government Unit officers, employees and supporters.


The event was also attended by outgoing Mayor Charisma Anne Dickpus to show support to the new administration of Lubuagan.

“Ipakita tayu latta iti suporta tayu ta ti goal tayu met talaga ket maymaysa, agserbi para iti pagsayaatan ti kakailyan ken agserbi kenni Apo Dios,” Dickpus said in an interview.


During the oath taking, the elected officials pledged before the administering officer Judge Randy Bulwayan of the Regional Trial Court Branch 39 and the people present how they shall faithfully discharge their duties as chosen leaders.


The set of leaders who took their oath are succeeding Mayor Joel Tagaotao; Vice Mayor Alonzo Saclag Jr.; the re-elected members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Councilors Rudy Ocan, Jan Jericho Odiem, Wildy Wansi and Simi Colayot; and its new members, Councilors Jackerson Manaltag, Angelito Anton, Victor Dickly, and Tommy Pallogan.


Tagaotao expressed gratitude for having won the elections.


“We already experienced progress for the past years, but we want to pursue more for a competitive and progressive municipality of Lubuagan,” he added.


Tagaotao also shared of his goal for Lubuagan to be a community of a “free, healthy, prosperous and disciplined citizens living in peace and equality before the law.”


He cited some policies that shall be maintained during his term to achieve these visions - they include transparency, public participation and consultation, and unity and teamwork.


The oath taking ceremony was also witnessed by the incoming provincial Governor James Edduba and Vice Governor Jocel Baac.
