Updated: Jul 24, 2022

Lubuagan, Kalinga – Mayor Joel Tagaotao, in his talk during the training for Home Care Support Services for Senior Citizens on July 12-13, 2022, commended family caregivers or individuals taking good care of the elderly and frail members of their families, saluting them for their endless patience and for being a responsible family member.

“I salute you for your time and effort in caring for your parents and grandparents, most especially the bedridden and sick. You’re a hero because of your patience. Home caring is not just a simple duty but a big responsibility,” Tagaotao conveyed.

He likewise praised them for upholding the 5th of the 10 Commandments, which covers honoring one’s parents.

Tagaotao emphasized that senior citizens should be well taken care of, especially the frail ones, as a way of showing respect, “we are not here today without them.”

The mayor concluded his message by expressing his gratitude to the DSWD – CAR for providing technical assistance and augmenting resources in Lubuagan so the training will be given to the locals.

Mayor said he is looking forward to more programs and trainings that the department will conduct in the municipality.
