Lubuagan, Kalinga – Officials of the local government unit of Lubuagan are appealing to the public to take advantage of the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination for children to ensure their protection, especially now that they are allowed to go out and attend face to face classes.

“We reiterate that this is for the protection ng mga bata and also in preparation ng opening ng face-to-face classes,” informed DOH- Health Human Resource Nurse Ceasar Manalwap as he related that the Municipal Health Office of Lubuagan is doing all its best to campaign for the COVID-19 vaccine, especially in children.

Earlier, the health office called on yLubuagen parents to let their children aged 5 to 11 years receive the jab to boost their immunity against the virus. Parents were encouraged to pre-register their kids before the commencement of the "Resbakuna for Kids" vaccination.

Once the 50 slots are finalized, the MHO shall push through with the inoculation.

“Kailangan ma-vaccine kuma amin a 12 and above ken nu adda available a pang 5-11 vaccine. We now need to vaccinate the children after na nasimulan na natin at malapit na nating ma-achieve yung target rate sa dating priority list,” explained Manalwap.

Manalwap said that even if the list is not complete yet, the MHO is very optimistic that parents understand that the vaccines are safe and that they will accompany their children to get the jab.

He said that the MHO is committed to work harder to jab as many kids as possible.

“We understand the predicament, but we believe that parents shall soon understand. Maybe we just give them time kaya double effort tayo to encourage and to deliver the right information about the vaccines. Open naman lagi ang RHU natin,” he expressed.
