Manager and cashier in Baguio stole from grocery to pay off gambling debts

Baguio City, Philippines – Gambling can become an addiction that may lead to financial disaster, affecting work and straining relationships. Take the case of a manager and a cashier who abused their position to swindle from a grocery store in Baguio City.


The two whose names were withheld by authorities are females, reported Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation – MPBC on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.


The 30-year-old owner of the store noticed discrepancies when he conducted inventory.


When he asked the manager and the cashier, it was then that the two admitted stealing around P20,620 to pay off their gambling debts.


The suspects may soon face qualified theft.
