Mayor Dagadag delighted with surrender of Kalinga’s top 5 wanted person

Tanudan, Kalinga – Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag expressed delight on the voluntary surrender of Kalinga’s top 5 most wanted person, saying this is a chance for him to answer all the charges filed against him and a chance to start over.


The suspect identified as Jerry Pugao, 54, farmer and a resident of Pangol, Tanudan surrendered to Dagadag on January 19 after negotiations done by the Tanudan Local Government Unit and the different units of Kalinga police led by Acting Kalinga Police Provincial Director, Police Colonel Peter Tagtag Jr.

The mayor narrated that the suspect told him that he surrendered because he is tired of hiding and suspecting every individual to be police who will come and arrest him. He also added that the suspect wanted to start over and to work for his family.


“Ti kuna diay nag-surrender nga ni Jerry Pugao ket ‘nauma nakun nga aglem-lemmeng kada agsus-suspetsiya nu adda ti pulis. Tapnu malpasan na daytoy problemak ken tapnu makatrabaho-ak met para iti pamilyak’ kunana,” he shared.


Dagadag lauded the efforts of the personnel of the LGU Tanudan especially SB Secretary Jefferson Daliyong who fetched the suspect and the dedication of the police in the province to sustain and promote peace and order.


“COP ti Tanudan, Police Captain Manuel Sabado ken COP ti Tabuk, Police Lieutenant Colonel Dinulong Tombali, isuda a talaga piman ti kadwa tayo a nangneg-negotiate dita. Nabayag piman a kayat na nga ag-surrender dayta suspect,” Dagadag expressed.

Among the programs of Dagadag’s administration is to negotiate and to encourage wanted individuals in Tanudan to surrender and to face the charges filed against them.


“Mayat nga ag-surrender da tapnu sungbatan da dagiti inaramid da ken tapnu haan dan nga aglem-lemmeng. Daytoy met lang ket tapnu adda chansa da nga agbaliw ken mangrugi manen iti biyag da ken para met lang daytoy iti peace and order iti ili tayo,” he expressed.


Meantime, the suspect who surrendered was brought to Tanudan Municipal Police Station for temporary custody.
