Pasil, Kalinga – The development of Pasil is a result of strengthened ties between the local government and its partner agencies, underscored Municipal Mayor Alfredo “Chao-ig” Malannag Jr. in his message to the people of Pasil during the 56th Founding Anniversary of the municipality on June 18, 2022.

Malannag emphasized that ‘opportunities keep on coming because we cemented a solid trust from our partners in non-government agencies and national government agencies in all our development efforts.’

Pasil, the mayor said, is placed at a better position due to its successful affiliation.

“From the previous years, our municipality has been a recipient of hundreds of millions worth of hard and soft infrastructure projects such as roads and multipurpose evacuation centers, education, environmental conservation initiatives, disaster risk and reduction resilience, and climate change adaptation programs,” Malannag cited.

The mayor added that programs for women, economic empowerments, farmers, MSMEs, livelihood, and development capacity were likewise pursued through linkages.

Malannag says more progress is yet to come

Thanking the efforts of the YPasil, the mayor asked that they prepare and they be ready for development projects and programs that shall soon come.

Nevertheless, he said that such success will not be possible without work.

“We cannot sit down and wait for the silver lining, we have to work for it. We have to work day and night and grab whatever opportunity is behind us, all for the realization of our preferred reality,” underscored Malannag.
