Miss Universe PH Apayao candidate pays courtesy call to Cong. Bulut-Begtang

Apayao, Philippines – More than a month ahead of the Miss Universe 2023 coronation night, Kristeen Mae Boccang representing Apayao paid a courtesy call to the Office of Congressman Eleanor Bulut-Begtang Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Boccang made it to the Top 40 of the MUPh following the withdrawal of Pangasinan representative Evangeline Fuentes due to health reasons.

Given the chance to win the “La Mer en Majeste” or the two new prestigious crowns, the staunch advocate of mental health issues and environmental conservation is not wasting the opportunity she got. She has been thoroughly prepping for the big night.

Backing her in her national pageant journey is the solon herself together with the provincial officials of Apayao headed by Governor Elias Bulut Jr.

During her visit, the congresswoman reiterated her full support as the 23-year-old queen introduced Apayao, which is known as “Cordillera’s Last Frontier of Nature's Richness,” to the country.

The beauty also had the chance to meet the neophyte lawmaker of Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative - Ferdinand Alexander "Sandro" Marcos.

In its latest update, Miss Charm Philippines – a beauty tilt aimed at promoting culture, tourism, and educational programs, Apayao is the 4th leading province with 12,800 points.

Kristeen, the reigning Dayag ti Apayao 2023 Second Runner Up who was crowned Binibining Conner Tourism 2022 and Panagbunga Festival Queen 2017, will be competing with 39 other contenders on the final show set to unfold on May 13, 2023, at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

As of this time, the Top 40 delegates are undergoing pre-pageant challenges.
