More than a hundred PWDs in Kalinga receive cash-for-work assistance


Tabuk City, Kalinga – More than a hundred Persons with Disabilities in Kalinga have benefitted from the cash-for-work assistance of the government.


The aid came from the Department of Welfare and Development through its Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) program.

Cash-for-work for PWDs aims to provide a short-term job in the form of community work for the beneficiaries. They are compensated with P380 a day for 10 days.


With P604,200 funding released by the DSWD – Cordillera, a total of 159 PWDs in Kalinga received their wage for the community service they rendered in September this year.


Of the 159 beneficiaries, 20 are from Balbalan; 20, Lubuagan; 15, Pasil; 20, Pinukpuk; 20, Rizal; 20, Tanudan; 19, Tinglayan; and 25 from Tabuk City.


The payout to said recipients transpired on Oct. 04, 2023, during the second DSWD-CAR KALAHI-CIDSS Partnership Forum.
