Rider killed in Tabuk City road crash

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A motorcycle and a 10-wheeler truck were involved in a road accident on February 16 that killed a rider from Pangol, Tanudan.


The incident happened along the Provincial Road in Barangay Magsaysay around 10:37 p.m.

A witness told Tabuk City police investigators that both of the vehicles were heading towards Dagupan direction when the rider, identified as Crislyn Dawagan overtook from the right side and crashed against the rear right portion of the truck.


Meanwhile, the 10-wheeler driver, Marlon Baynosa Dumip-ig from Malabon City conveyed that while traversing the road going to Dagupan, he suddenly heard a loud crashing sound prompting him to stop the truck.


He then got down where he saw the rider lying on the ground.

Responding team from the Tabuk City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council rushed Dawagan to Kalinga Provincial Hospital. Said rider was unconscious with a big wound on his forehead and abrasions on his body.


The rider passed away on February 17, according to the Tabuk City police.


The incident is still under investigation.
