Tabuk City, Kalinga – Infants, children, and adults born with cleft conditions will have the opportunity to receive free consultations and corrective surgeries through a two-day medical mission at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) in Tuguegarao City on June 18 to 19, 2026.

The activity, dubbed Cleft Mission 2026, is being conducted by the CVMC Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery in partnership with the Philippine Society of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery Northern Luzon ENT Chapter.

The mission will provide free consultations and surgical procedures for qualified patients with cleft lip (bingot), cleft palate (biyak sa ngala-ngala), and cases requiring secondary cleft rhinoplasty or corrective nasal surgery.

Eligible beneficiaries include infants aged three months and above with cleft lip, children aged one year and above with cleft palate, and individuals aged 14 years and older who require corrective nasal surgery following a previous cleft operation.

Hospital officials said patients must undergo screening and evaluation before the mission to determine their eligibility for surgery. Due to limited slots, families are encouraged to register as early as possible.

In a Facebook post, CVMC emphasized its commitment to helping individuals born with cleft conditions gain access to specialized treatment and improve their quality of life.

“Hatid ng CVMC ang mas maayos na ngiti at mas kumpiyansang buhay,” the hospital stated.

Interested patients and their families may contact 0945-577-4383 or visit CVMC in Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, for inquiries and registration.
