NO EMPTY PROMISES: Balbalan LGU rewards student achievers with cash incentives

BALBALAN, Kalinga – Staying true to its commitment to support and recognize young achievers, the Municipal Local Government Unit (LGU) of Balbalan, led by Mayor Almar Malannag, has released cash incentives to students who excelled in academic and skills competitions during the previous school year.


Recognizing that students possess diverse talents and abilities, the LGU extends incentives not only to athletes but also to learners who bring honor to the municipality through academic and skills-based competitions.


This year, a total of 27 students are set to receive cash incentives for their achievements in provincial, regional, and national competitions, including campus journalism, Festival of Talents, and various skills contests.


Based on data from the Office of the Municipal Treasurer, one of the 27 awardees is expected to receive P11,000 in incentives for multiple victories earned while representing Balbalan in higher-level competitions. The students have already been notified and may claim their incentives from the Municipal Treasurer's Office.


Mayor Malannag, who has consistently prioritized youth development, encouraged iBalbalan learners to continue honing their knowledge, talents, and skills. He assured them that the local government remains committed to supporting their endeavors and providing assistance whenever they represent the municipality in competitions.

Isu nga iti LGU ket adda latta ditoy nga mang-empower ken mang-assistar kadagitoy kabataan tayo tapnu iti kasta ket awan iti maiyaw-awan iti landas kadakuada,” he said.


The incentive program forms part of the municipality's continuing efforts to encourage excellence among students and recognize those who bring pride and honor to Balbalan through their achievements.
