‘Pagsisikap, pagtataguyod, pagmamahal, panalangin’ success formula for Vax Drive – DOH CAR RD

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Department of Health Cordillera Regional Director, Dr. Rio Magpantay highlights what he dubbed as 4Ps, as a formula in attaining success in a particular program during the National Covid-19 vaccination III this February 10.

Magpantay said the 4Ps stand for ‘pagsisikap, pagtataguyod, pagmamahal, and panalangin.’

He explained that the first ‘p’ which is ‘pagsisikap’ is an ingredient to success in this Covid-19 battle and that if the local government units and the national government won’t strive harder and persevere, victory in this fight won’t be attainable.

“Kung wala po tayong gagawing mga aktibidades na magpapakita ng ating pagsisikap katulad po ng ginagawa ng Provincial Local Government of Kalinga ngayon [vaccination program], hindi ho natin makikita kung paano tayo magtatagumpay,” he said.

Next to ‘pagsisikap’ is ‘pagtataguyod’ which the regional director expounded on the need to finish successfully what was started.

Magpantay asserted that a public servant should also love what he or she is doing, which is why the third ‘p’, he said, is the ‘pagmamahal’.

“You give yourself, you give your love to what you’re doing. You give your love to the people that you serve and then things will turn out better for all of us,” he said.

Lastly, completing the ‘4Ps’ is the ‘pananalangin.’ The DOH Cordillera Director conveyed that one must not forget to pray.

“There’s always someone there guiding us and we should never forget that because we owe it to Him why we are here,” he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Magpantay commended the effort of the Province of Kalinga for doing exerting extra effort to vaccinate individuals who are qualified to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.

“We, from the national government, nasa likod lang po kami. We provide technical assistance, ibig sabihin, kayo po ang nangunguna, kami ang aayuda,” he said.

The regional director concluded his message by reminding the public servants that their mandate is to give the best services to every constituent.

“Wag po nating kalilimutan na tayo ay may sinumpaang salaysay lalong lalo na po yung ating naglilingkod sa bayan that we have to provide, kasama po kami doon, the best services that every constituent, lahat ng mamamayan ay dapat matanggap,” he said.
