Paragliding in Atok, Benguet now open to thrill-seekers

Atok, Benguet – The paragliding-cum-adventure destination at Englandad in Atok, Benguet is finally open after months of preparations and many test flights.


Thrill-seekers may now experience sky-high action adventure that offers unique paragliding (5-10 minutes), paramotor (10-20 minutes) or paramotor fly more (15-25 minutes) experience against a backdrop of scenic mountain views.

The rate ranges from P3,500 to P4,800 for the paragliding with a weight limit of 90 kilograms; P4,200 for paramotor with a 65 kg limit; and P4,800 for paramotor fly more with the same weight limit. Inclusions are equipment, Go Pro, pilot fee, and insurance.


An additional P1,000 will be charged for those exceeding the said limit, according to Benguet Air Sports.


How to arrive at the destination


From Baguio, go to Dangwa terminal and ride a van that is bound for Mankayan or Buguias. Ask the conductor to drop you off at Atok Municipal Hall. Once there, contact the assigned pilot provided upon booking and wait for their arrival.


Meanwhile, La Trinidad Tourism disclosed paragliding in the municipality is still undergoing consultations and permits.
