Pasil women grateful for medical services, relief goods from various agencies

Pasil, Kalinga – The women and the youth sector of Cagaluan, Pasil expressed gratitude for the medical services and relief packs delivered to them on March 09, 2022 by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity-Cordillera in partnership with various agencies.


Around 150 women and youth of the said barangay benefited from various services and goods through an outreach program facilitated by the 2nd Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company.

The program was held in celebration of the Women’s Month and is a convergence effort of the OPAPRU - Cordillera along with Pasil Rural Health Unit (RHU), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and Philippine Information Agency (PIA).


In said event, the participants were lectured on women empowerment, Anti Violence against Women and their Children (Anti-VAWC), Anti-Bastos Law, women and youth for peace and security, provisions of the proposed Cordillera Autonomous Region, fire prevention, and TESDA services.

Personnel of Pasil RHU also talked about non-communicable diseases, the top three common causes of mortality rate among women, benefits of getting COVID-19 jab, and bloodletting.


Apart from the Information Education Campaign materials, the participants were also given gifts, relief packs containing sugar and rice, foods through the feeding program, and medical services.
