Police have lead in Bangued robbery-hold up incident

Bangued, Abra – While talking to local media on Sunday, July 23, Bangued’s top cop revealed they already have a lead in the robbery-hold up incident that transpired over the weekend at Linasin, Zone 1, Bangued, Abra.


The victim, Peachy Paz Darang Cajala, 52, a businesswoman, came from her shop and rode a tricycle to get home on Saturday, July 22.


When she arrived in front of her residence, it was then that the three men who were then casually walking down the street robbed her while she was still inside the trike.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the trike driver, while another snatched her bag containing an iPhone 11, IDs, and more or less P270,000 cash.


Two of the suspects fired a gun while fleeing, while the lookout fled in the opposite direction.


“Idi nagimbestiga tayo, adda met diay CCTV [footage] nga naala...adda mabalin tayo nga lead nga mabalin tayo nga masolbar daytuy nga kaso,” Police Major Glenn Daria, Acting Chief of Police of Bangued conveyed.


He added that it was the first time that such incident had happened in the area.


While CCTV footage showed three suspects, Daria said they are looking into the possibility that there are others involved who served as lookouts in the incident.


Police are now conducting further investigation to speed up the resolution of the crime.
