Tabuk City, Kalinga — Rape was recorded to be the most committed index crime or crimes against a person and property in Tabuk City in 2021. This is according to data from the Tabuk City Police Station.
For 2021, there is a total of 50 index crimes committed, which is 16.28% higher than the ones documented in 2020.
Of this number, 15 are rape cases which is higher by 36% than the incidents logged in 2020. This is followed by robbery with 14 cases; physical injuries 7; theft, 7; murder, 4; carnapping motorcycle, 2; and homicide with a single case.
With the 120,490 population of Tabuk City, the average monthly crime rate in the city for 2021 is at 3.45, while 2.97 in 2020.
Most rape cases happened between 9 PM to 11 PM
Based on the Tabuk City Police Station crime clock, rape incidents reported to the police last year mostly happened at night with 7 cases transpired around 9:00 to 11:00 PM.
As for robbery, most of the cases occurred at 6:00 AM with 3 incidents, followed by 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM with 2 cases each.
Meanwhile, for physical injuries, majority of the cases transpired at night around 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM with 6 cases.
For theft, most establishments or people have lost their belongings to thieves in the morning, around 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Meantime, the recorded murder and homicide cases in Tabuk last year took place at 1:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 11:00 PM.
Lastly, the 2 carnapping of motorcycle incidents documented in 2021 occurred at 2:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
