Single moms, PWDs in Tabuk's far-flung area receive aid from PNP

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Women empowering women, female cops in the city visited less fortunate single moms and persons with disabilities in Magnao to extend aid on Women’s Month celebration.


The women in uniform at the Tabuk City Police Station conducted the outreach activity on March 22 at said barangay which is one of the far-flung areas in the city.

During the event, some 35 solo parents and PWDs received packages of goods and clothing. They were likewise educated about the anti-illegal drugs and anti-terrorism campaign of the government, traffic rules, and the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.


The Tabuk City police conveyed the outreach is done not just to help the women in their needs, it is also to empower them about their rights as women, as well as to give them knowledge about the dangerous effects of illegal drugs, and the stages of youth recruitment of CPP-NPA-NDF for them to be able to further protect their children.


Apart from this outreach, the female police officers in Tabuk City also marked Women’s Month by doing the usual routine of their male counterparts such as checkpoint, traffic direction, security assistance, police presence, and routine patrolling in crime-prone areas.
