SP Kalinga approves Tabuk City ordinance for P10-20K additional incentive for BHW and BNS

Tabuk City, Kalinga — The proposed additional service incentive for the barangay health workers and barangay nutrition scholars in Tabuk City was recently approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice Governor Dave Odiem.

The SP members approved Ordinance No. 08, Series of 2021 or ‘Ordinance Amending the Tabuk Barangay Health Workers (BHW) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) Assistance, Benefits and Incentives Code of 2020’.

The amendment was made to include additional service incentives to the BHW and BNS. This, according to the ordinance, is ‘in recognition of their length of voluntary healthcare and nutrition services in Tabuk.’

Among the qualifications to avail of the said additional incentive include at least 10 years of accumulated health care or nutrition services as certified by the local health board. Additionally, from the date of application for the benefit, the BHW or BNS must be 60 years old.

Those who have rendered 10 years but not more than 20 years of service will receive an additional P10,000 incentive, while those more than 20 years are entitled to receive P20,000.

This additional service incentive shall be funded by the Supplemental fund and General fund of Tabuk City Local Government Unit.
