Tabuk City, Kalinga – Believing in the contribution of the grassroots level to the government programs, Tabuk City Council headed by Acting Vice-Mayor Zoraida Mia M. Wacnang suspended their supposed March 3 regular session for barangay revisit.

Wacnang highlighted that the barangay revisit is an important aspect of holistic planning for the development of the city.

The program, she said, aims to empower the barangays and the community members, at the same time, encourage them to actively participate in mapping the development plans of their barangay.

“Through this program, the city government of Tabuk will be able to ascertain the priority needs of the 43 barangays of the city, by engaging its respective officials, the different sectoral groups, schools, the private sector, and the community members,” explained the Acting City Vice-Mayor.

The council, along with other city officials, has been making their rounds from one barangay to the other to assist and review their proposed priority projects for the common benefit.

The council shall resume its regular session on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
