Acknowledging the crowd of government officials and locals, the lawmaker expressed his gratitude for their renewed trust in his leadership, as he was the number one senator in Kalinga during the last election.

“Maraming-maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat. At etong pangalawang pagkakataon, ginawa niyo po akong number one dito sa Tabuk City. Ginawa niyo po akong number one sa buong probinsiya ng Kalinga. Maraming salamat po,” said Go.

During his speech, Go emphasized his priority bills on health, sports, and the youth. These  include the malasakit center, super health center, expanded free tertiary education, and a regionalized National Academy of Sports, among others.

On the Super Health Center, the senator said there will be over 700 SHC in the Philippines. Of the total number, one more center will be launched in Kalinga, particularly in Pinukpuk, following the establishment of the same center in 2022 at

Barangay Agbannawag, Tabuk City.

“…magkakaroon po ng mahigit pitong daan na SHC sa buong Pilipinas. At pangalanan ko nalang po, dito po sa probinsiya ng Kalinga, meron pong dalawa na ilalagay: sa Pinukpuk at dito po sa inyo sa Tabuk City. Kung ano pa ang makakatulong sa inyong pasilidad, bilang chairman ng Committee on Health, pagdating ng panahon tutulong po ako,” he added.

The second-term senator of the 20th Congress is known for authoring 19 laws and principally sponsoring 94 laws, including the upgrade of public hospitals. One of which is the Malasakit Centers Act, one of his main authored legislation as the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Health.

The Malasakit Centers Act, known as Republic Act No. 11463 of 2019, according to the Supreme Court E-Library, is an act establishing Malasakit centers in all Department of Health hospitals and in the Philippine General Hospital, providing funds therefore and for other purposes.

Said centers have significantly reduced strict limitations, optimized healthcare processes, and improved overall patient satisfaction with the provision of medical and financial assistance to indigent and financially struggling patients.

Adopted son of Tabuk City

During his visit, Go became an adopted son of Tabuk, through the Sangguniang Panlungsod  Resolution No. 250, series of 2025, approved during a regular session on July 8.

The resolution conferred on the senator the name ‘Charutag’ (with solicitude). According to the Kalinga Information Office, the Kalinga name Charutag recognizes his ‘compassion and commitment to public service’
