Tanudan LGU, agencies bring services closer to communities

Tanudan, Kalinga – The Tanudan Local Government Unit and the different line agencies reunited for another Barangayanihan Caravan on November 27 in Banagao to bring government services closer to communities in Upper Tanudan.

A Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery was also conducted in Tanudan on November 4.

Led by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, Vice Mayor Joseph Cosidon, and other local government offices and line agencies, around 300 individuals availed of the free haircut and rollout of the Covid-19 vaccination during the recent event.

The Tanudan Police Chief, Lieutenant Manuel Sabado, said that lectures were also provided for the Kabataan Kontra Droga and Terorismo members. Topics include Drug Prevention and Penalties from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Anti-Trafficking in Person Act and leadership lecture from the PNP, Basic Life Support from Red Cross, and Fire Prevention and Search and Rescue which was discussed by the Bureau of Fire Protection.

He expressed hope that through the lectures, the participants will be empowered as future leaders and will be molded as role models for their fellow youth.

“These lectures train the young leaders of Tanudan to be well-rounded in terms of public services,” he said.

He added that the event also equipped them with knowledge on how to keep themselves safe and away from crimes by teaching them to be resilient and how to respond to incidents that may come their way.
