Tanudan records zero drug cases since 2019

Tanudan, Kalinga – The Municipality of Tanudan has recorded zero drug cases since 2019. This is according to the consolidated data of the Municipal Peace and Order Council.


During the 1st quarter meeting of the Tanudan Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) on March 30, 2022, it was presented that there were no illegal drug cases reported to the police in Tanudan from 2019 to the present.

Their data revealed that all the 16 barangays in the municipality are cleared of illegal drugs.


P/CAPT Manuel Sabado, Tanudan Police Chief, attributed the zero illegal drug cases in the municipality to the cooperation of the barangay officials with the police.


“Mayat ti support dagiay barangay kadagiti programa ti kapulisan,” he shared.

He added that the barangay officials do not tolerate illegal drugs in their areas of responsibility and that they closely coordinate and work with the police in order to prevent the occurrence of illegal contrabands in Tanudan.


Meanwhile, Sabado presented during the MPOC meeting that there is zero index crime or crime against a person and property committed in the municipality from January to March 2022. However, they have documented one crime that belongs to the non-index or violation of special laws.


The Crime Clearance Efficiency and Crime Solution Efficiency in the municipality is 100 percent.
