“This year is an opportunity to change for the better”-Gov. Tubban

Tabuk City, Kalinga – As the new year unfolds, Governor Ferdinand B. Tubban encouraged the employees under the umbrella of the provincial government to take this chance to do better as ‘this year is an opportunity to change inefficiency to efficiency, our deficiency to sufficiency, and the happy-go-lucky to commitment and dedication.’

Tubban made this remark during this year’s first flag-raising ceremony held on January 3, 2022, at Kalinga Astrodome.

Change, according to the governor, is always important, especially for the employees who have sworn duties and responsibilities to the people of Kalinga. As public servants, the employees, he said, ought to perform better ‘if we think they are already doing a good job.’

“Habang bumaybayag tayo iti trabaho, masapul a lumalaing tayo, mu-maymayat iti output tayo ken sumimsimpa ti Sistema tayo,” Tubban stated, adding that the development of the whole province is rooting for the progress of the provincial government’s workplace.

The governor stressed that there will be no advancement in Kalinga without change and improvement within the PLGU.

Tubban then asked the employees to reflect on what kind of story would they write to the blank pages as they start a new chapter.

“Tatta mangrugi manen ti baro a tawen, agsurat tayo manen ti baro a kapitulo. Anya ngata ti maisurat tayo tatta? Parehas idi napalabas wennu mas napinpintas? Adda kanyayo dayta ta ti ima yo isu met ti nakaeggen ti pluma. Nobody can write your story, you write yours,” highlighted the governor.

Under Tubban's administration, many changes have been introduced to strengthen government services and functions of offices. In an interview, Tubban said for good changes to happen, there is a need for consistency.

In his speech, he re-echoed that success is a product of consistency, and thus he encouraged the government workforce to be consistent in providing excellent service.
