Tuao, Cagayan now Covid-19 free



Cagayan, Philippines — The Municipality of Tuao has been declared Covid-19 free after the only active case recovered from the virus this November 23. This is according to the data of the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.


In a report, the Cagayan Provincial Information Office stated that Tuao is the third municipality to have been cleared with the virus as the Municipalities of Pamplona and Calayan have earlier logged zero covid-19 cases and all its active cases have already recovered.


Meanwhile, as of Tuesday, November 23, the Province of Cagayan has recorded 19 new cases and 32 new recoveries. These brought the active covid-19 tally in Cagayan at 287.

Additionally, no covid-19 related death was also recorded in the province.


Meantime, in the entire Philippines, there are 1,153 new Covid-19 infections recorded while there are 2,182 new recoveries. As of November 23, there are 18,721 active cases in the country.
