Vice-Gov. Odiem vows continued support and excellent service to people of Kalinga

Tabuk City, Kalinga – For a better and more progressive Kalinga this 2022, Provincial Vice-Governor Dave Odiem has vowed to continue supporting the programs and plans of the Provincial Government during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, January 03, 2022.


Odiem underscored the necessity of legislative backing and commitment for faster and more efficient service of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, especially on expedited reviews and approval of requests which benefit communities.


"Dagiyay napipintas nga aramid tayo, imaintainar tayo, dagiyay madi, baliwan tayo, improve en tayo tapnu nasay-sayaat pay ti serbisyo nga maited tayo para kadagiti kakailyan tayo,” Odiem said.


Odiem likewise encouraged the public to involve themselves and participate in crucial matters deliberated, approved, or disapproved by SP Kalinga, particularly those which could have direct or indirect effects on them.

“Following the minimum health protocols, the public is welcome to sit in and listen to the legislative body enact ordinances, approve resolutions and appropriate funds for the general welfare of the province and its inhabitants,” Odiem said.


In an interview, the Vice-Governor said the Kalinga SP, along with its members, are thankful for the support of the public as well as the partnerships they had with agencies and other groups to fulfill their functions in creating and approving ordinances and resolutions.


“Babaen dagiti partisipasyon ti experts ken publiko, we are able to better do our work. I say that since we are serving the public, we need to involve them more,” said Odiem.

During his message, Odiem additionally expressed gratitude to the frontliners, highlighting their efforts in combatting the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, so Kalinga can be under alert level 2 in which gatherings like the ceremony are allowed.


The vice-governor likewise encouraged the government workforce of Kalinga PLGU to apply the principle, ‘experience begets wisdom’ which is lifted from the story in the bible, “Three Wise Men.”
