Tabuk City, Kalinga – Tabuk City Vice-Mayor Bernard Glenn Dao-as expressed his support to the Igorot Warriors International, Inc. (IWI) during the grand rally of the party-list supporters held on May 04, 2022 in Kalinga Province.
The IWI is seeking to promote Igorot and Indigenous Cultural Communities culture and support programs to attain a sustainable environment and socio-economic reforms.
In his message, Dao-as called for his fellow Igorots to support the party-list as it is their own, saying ‘imaymaysa tayo ti botos tayo.’
“Daytoy ti mangi-representa kanyatayo, ket kitaen tayo ngarud ta maysa lang met ti mabutusan a partylist, isu nga butusan tayo,” stated Dao-as.
Dao-as likewise asked the supporters present in the event to support his candidacy in running for Mayor this May 9 elections.
The Vice-Mayor of Tabuk City highlighted that as an Igorot, his platform of governance is people-focused and assured that transparency will be observed in all development programs.
Dao-as vowed to continue his fight against anomalies and corruption in the city government.
“Kas makita yu met, daytoy lang agmaymaysa a kailyan yu nga Igorot ti nangitured a nangdillaw kadagiti madi a mapaspasamak idiay City Hall. Nagadu ti binutusan yu nga politician ngem daytoy lang kailyan yu nga Igorot ti nangitured a nagsao,” he stressed.
Above all, Dao-as underscored that Igorot voters should prove that their votes are not for sale.
