Woman with mental disorder stabs husband to death in Isabela

Isabela, Philippines – At 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, the police responded to a home in Purok 7, Barangay Balagan, San Mariano, Isabela, where a stabbing incident was reported.

Upon arrival, the San Mariano Police Station discovered a man lying dead.

Initial investigation of the local police force states the victim was sleeping at the long wooden chair outside their house when his wife with mental disorder stabbed him multiple times, causing his immediate death.

The dead man was identified as Nelson Manalo, 52, a farmer, and a resident of said area, while the suspect is a 51-year-old hidden as alias “Mely”.

For post-mortem examination, the victim was brought to a funeral home in the locality.

San Mariano PNP, meanwhile, has already taken the suspect into custody, including the bolo she allegedly used in stabbing her own husband.
