1,095 Tinglayan senior citizens receive their P1,500 quarterly stipend

Tinglayan, Kalinga – Indigent senior citizens in Tinglayan received their first quarter social pension this February 14 to 16, 2022, a much needed help for the elderly, especially those who are on medication and maintenance.


Tinglayan Municipal Information Office informed that a total of 1,095 pensioners got their P1,500 stipend at their respective barangays. Those who weren't able to proceed to the venue of release due to some physical condition or other restrictions were visited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office – Kalinga and Tinglayan MSWDO personnel.

During the three-day payout, still there were 48 beneficiaries who were not able to receive their stipend. The unclaimed money was added to their regular benefits for the next payout in April.


The Tinglayan MSWDO appealed to the beneficiaries to take note and follow the schedule in order not to miss out on their stipend.

Meantime, as of this year, there are a total of 1,143 social pensioners in Tinglayan. From this number, 125 are from Barangay Basao; 102 from Bugnay; 79 from Buscalan; 71 from Luplupa; 21 from Old Tinglayan; 59 from Poblacion; 34 from Ambato; 43 from Bangad Centro; 44 from Upper Bangad; 81 from Lower Bangad; 45 from Belong Man-ubal; 91 from Mallango; 44 from Sumadel I; 37 from Sumadel II; 47 from Dananao; 30 from Loccong; 26 from Ngibat; 60 from Butbut Proper; 57 from Tulgao East; and 47 from Tulgao West.
