2 men seriously injured after pickup plunged into 15-meter ravine in Tabuk

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A driver and a passenger of a Navara pickup were reported to be seriously injured after their vehicle plunged into a deep ravine in Ileb, Nambaran on Sunday evening.


In an initial police investigation, the pickup driven by a certain Raymark Caban, 26, with passenger Jackson Baloran, 24, was travelling the Kalinga-Cagayan national road towards Tabuk from Tuguegarao City at around 8 o’clock in the evening. Both are laborers and residents of Tuguegarao City.


When they were approaching the sharp curve portion of the road in Ileb, Nambaran, the driver lost control of the vehicle and plunged into a 15-meter ravine, totally wrecking the pickup truck.

Both sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Kalinga Provincial Hospital by responding personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.


The vehicle will be retrieved and towed by the CDRRM.
