TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 20-year-old motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries in a road accident shortly after midnight on November 1 in Barangay Magsaysay, this city.

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Tabuk City Information Officer FO1 Aila Phyllian Licudine told GURU Press Cordillera that their personnel responded to a reported self-inflicted motorcycle accident at around 12:37 a.m. on All Saints’ Day.

Upon arrival, responders found the victim conscious and seated along the outer lane of the road, accompanied by bystanders.

Initial assessment showed a possible fracture in his right clavicle, along with lacerations on his right thigh and right eyebrow.

BFP personnel administered first aid by cleaning and dressing his wounds before applying a sling to support his injured shoulder.

He was subsequently transported to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for further medical treatment.

Meanwhile, BFP Tabuk City also responded to two separate road accidents in Barangay Magsaysay on October 30.

The first incident occurred at around 10:32 a.m. in front of Total Magsaysay, involving a 15-year-old male who sustained abrasions on both knees.

The second accident was reported at around 6:05 p.m., with the victim sustaining multiple abrasions on different parts of the body.

The BFP reminded motorists to remain vigilant and observe traffic safety regulations, including wearing protective helmets and avoiding driving under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances.
