ABRA, Philippines – Family members, relatives, and friends of a 30-year-old call center agent who was shot dead Friday morning in Pidigan, Abra, are seeking justice for her killing.

The victim was identified as Deserie “Brix/Dissang” A. Inagapad, a member of the LGBTQ+ community and a resident of Barangay Pangal, Danglas, Abra. She was a criminology graduate and had just celebrated her birthday on October 26.

Inagapad's live-in partner, Camille Ricka Teneza, recounted to Balitang Northern Luzon that the victim left for work at around 1 a.m. Friday, following her usual routine. Teneza said she was shocked when she was later informed of the incident.

Inagapad was reportedly found dead at around 6 a.m. in Barangay Naguirayan, Pidigan. She was still wearing her helmet and was found leaning over the handlebars of her stationary scooter, with both feet on the ground.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the back. The bullet reportedly pierced her heart before exiting through her chest.

Several spent shell casings were recovered at the crime scene.

Teneza said she never expected such an incident to happen, noting that her partner had been working in Pangal for months and had been following the same daily routine.

She said she had no knowledge of any possible motive behind the killing, adding that her partner had not received any threats before the incident.

Teneza also denied allegations that Inagapad was involved in palay theft or a love triangle.

The victim's parents, who are returning from overseas, have joined Teneza, along with their relatives and friends, in appealing for justice.

Police have yet to release an official report as the investigation into the killing continues.
