Tabuk City, Kalinga - Three security personnel of the provincial local government unit of Kalinga, who showed outstanding performance while executing their duty as public servants, were given recognition during the 2021 PLGU Christmas Program held on Thursday, December 23 at Kalinga Astrodome.

The Provincial Information Office, in a press release stated that among those recognized include Security Guard Brian Ace Ballog who went viral on Facebook when the ‘Province of Kalinga’ page uploaded on September 12, 2019 his photo carrying an elderly woman with difficulty in walking to help her avail the services of Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) in Tuguegarao City.

According to the PIO, Ballog’s action was acknowledged by other national line agencies and served as an inspiration to other government employees.

Also, Noel Lingog and Arnold Dexter Laed of the Office of the Provincial Administrator Security Services were praised for their honesty in returning the laptop they found to the owner.

Such actions, Governor Ferdinand Tubban said, show proof of how each of the provincial government employees creates a huge impact on the day-to-day operations.

“We are all the government and I believe that we all make a difference in our community. Shared governance-that is a strengthened effort of a collective,” reads the governor’s message posted by PIO.

The Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) of the Provincial Human Resource Management Office provides outstanding employees a Plaque of Recognition and P5,000 cash incentive each.
