Tanudan, Kalinga – Around 333 constituents from this municipality were given a capital to start a business and livelihood they wanted to venture into, during the Sustainable Livelihood Program Assistance Grant Payout in Poblacion held on November 11.

Beneficiaries were those who lost their job during the Covid-19 pandemic, including those who do not have enough income, solo parents, and persons with disabilities.

During the payout, each recipient received P15,000 livelihood assistance funded through the Office of Senator Bong Go.

In his message, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag thanked the Senator and President Rodrigo Duterte for granting their request to fund livelihood programs for the YTanudans.

Alam ko naman ‘yung mga kababayan ko na hindi naman sila sugarol,” he assured as he explained to the recipients that the money given to them should serve as a capital for their proposed businesses.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development reminded the grantees that they are given seven days to liquidate the assistance given to them.

In a video message played during the payout, Senator Go also urged the constituents to get vaccinated saying, “ang bakuna lamang ang tanging susi at solusyon sa ngayon upang unti unti tayong makabalik sa ating normal na pamumuhay.”

The senator encouraged the people to help each other amidst this crisis.
