35 year-old woman in Abra shot multiple times in front of child

Dolores, Abra – A former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) was having snacks with her child in their noodle shop when she was shot multiple times on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.


Police investigation said three malefactors who pretended as customers entered the establishment and ordered 3 miki noodles. After the bowls of noodles were served, one of the three men stood and fired at the victim and immediately escaped in an unknown direction.


The victim died while receiving treatment in Abra Provincial Hospital on the same day.

The fatality was identified as Jenifer Belong, 35, the owner of Janice Pancitan and a resident of Barangay Talogtog, Dolores, Abra.


In their initial report, the Dolores police told Abra Today that they were notified Wednesday by a staff of St. Theresa Wellness Center regarding a shooting incident victim who was admitted to their clinic.


Belong sustained 4 shots on her abdomen, 2 on her left leg, and one shot on her right leg.

The victim, meantime, was immediately brought to St. Theresa Wellness and was later on transferred to Abra Provincial Hospital. However, Belong died sometime later.


Dolores Police are now working on unmasking the identity of the suspects and their motive.
