36 wanted persons in Cordillera arrested in first 7 days of Oct.

Benguet, Philippines - A total of 36 wanted personalities in the Cordillera region were arrested in the first week of October 2023.


This is according to the Police Regional Office - Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division(RIDMD).


Based on the RIDMD’s data, Baguio City listed the highest number of arrests with 19 wanted persons apprehended, followed by the province of Ifugao with 8; Benguet, 7; and Kalinga, 2.

Of the 36 arrested personalities, 6 were listed as Most Wanted Persons (MWP), 1 was regional level, and 5 were provincial most wanted individuals.


Meantime, to further enhance the capability of police in the region, PRO - Cordillera has received new vehicles and equipment from the Philippine National Police headquarters on Monday, Oct. 09.


These include 8 police vehicles, 71 enhanced combat helmets, 71 tactical vests, and 218 undershirt vests, which will be distributed to various units of PRO-Cordillera.


Said new police assets were handed by the PNP Director for Research and Development, PMGen. Oliver Enmodias, during the turn-over ceremony on said day in La Trinidad, Benguet.
