42-year-old man in Bangued, Abra shot while passing by restobar

Bangued, Abra - A man was shot in his abdomen and arm in front of a restobar in Barangay Calaba, Bangued Abra on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 while on his way home.

The shooter is yet to be identified.

Police identified the victim as James Cabañero Alcantara, 42, a resident of Barangay Bangbangar, Bangued, Abra.

Bangued MPS said the victim was walking home passing a restobar when he heard a gunshot.

He then suddenly felt blood flowing out of his abdomen and arm and slowly fell to the ground.

Alcantara remembered pleading for help, feeling paralyzed.

The unidentified suspects fled from the scene after seeing Alcantara fall.

A caliber 45 was believed to have been used based on the four empty shells recovered from the crime scene.

Bangued MPS is currently investigating the identity of the suspects and the motive behind the incident.
