46-yr.-old rider dies, another injured as motorcycle falls off a bridge in Isabela

San Guillermo, Isabela – A motorcyclist fell to his death while his back rider was injured after he lost control of his motorcycle and fell off a bridge in Colorado, San Guillermo, Isabela on Tuesday, January 10.

In this accident, alcohol was again blamed as the culprit as the two were said to have been intoxicated when they met the accident.

46-year-old Jerry Manalo, the victim, was declared dead on arrival when he was taken to a rural health unit by responding authorities.

Meantime, Lorenzo Villarta, his back rider, is now under medication in a hospital in the province.

The two, who are both residents of Dipacamo, San Guillermo, were found lying on the river bank next to their motorcycle.

Initial investigation disclosed that the two came from Barangay Theresita.

A witness said that when they were traversing the Colorado Bridge, the motorcycle accidentally fell off the bridge.

On the same date, a lady rider who was also involved in a road accident died in Santiago City, Isabela.

Her motorcycle accidentally crashed into an elf truck which was about to enter a street at the intersection of the national road in Barangay Plaridel, claiming her life.
