Santa Ana, Cagayan – A 51-year-old farmer was shot dead by a riding-in-tandem 6 PM of Tuesday, October 25, at Sitio San Antonio, Palawig Sta. Ana, according to police.
The victim is identified by authorities as Jesus Autriz, a resident of said barangay.
Santa Ana police said that based on the investigation conducted, the victim along with his live-in-partner, came from Cagayan Valley Medical Center in Tuguegarao City for his medical check-up before the incident transpired.
After arriving at the Sta. Ana Public Market, the two boarded a passenger sidecar but when they reached the alley towards their house, a riding-in-tandem appeared before them and shot the victim twice.
Police said Autriz was hit on his head and his body.
After committing the crime, the suspects immediately fled the area and headed towards Sta. Ana town proper.
In an interview by police with the victim’s partner, she disclosed the back rider of the killer was wearing a gray T-shirt, a black bull cap, and maong pants.
Sta. Ana Chief of Police Major Manuel Viloria said the investigation of the case is still ongoing.
