Cauayan, Isabela - A 58-year-old rider died in a collision involving a motorcycle and a 4-wheeler vehicle along the national highway in Barangay Minante Dos, Cauayan, Isabela Thursday evening, November 24.
Cauayan City Police Station investigation revealed that the accident happened at around 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Police said that the rider was traversing the national road going to Cauayan Poblacion while the Suzuki all-purpose vehicle (APV) was moving to Santiago City when the collision happened.
The collision between the two vehicles transpired particularly on Deloyola’s line, thr driver of Suzuki APV.
With the strong impact, the victim’s head hit the windshield of the vehicle, resulting in his immediate death.
Authorities identified the victim as Gerardo Duarte, 58, a construction worker and a resident of District 3 of said town.
The suspect, meantime, was identified as Albert Deloyola, 41, married, businessman, and a resident of Santiago City, Isabela.
At present, Deloyola is now in the custody of Cauayan City PS and may face a case of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide and Damage to Property.
